Tarcowie Rock Phosphate (“TRP”) contains over 60 minerals and key elements and trace elements including phosphate minerals.
Wavellite, Apatite, Perhamite and Crandalite.
Other key elements include Calcium, Potassium, Silica plus essential trace elements Zinc, Manganese, Copper, Cobalt, Iron and Nickel.
Customers to date have successfully applied TRP to pastures, crops and plants. Spreading has included pure TRP, TRP blended with manures and made other activated variants. The clay content of TRP supports production of a pelletised fertiliser product.
G.E. Hughes Construction Co. reopened the mine in April 2023.
